Delete your BonsAI Chat account
Account deletion is irreversible after the deletion service accepts it. The process is the same whether it starts in the app or after a verified support request.
Delete in the app
- Sign in to the account.
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the deletion and subscription notice.
- Reauthenticate and confirm Delete account.
You may close the app after acceptance. Deletion continues and cannot be cancelled.
Request deletion outside the app
Email support@bonsaichat.io from the email associated with the account using the exact subject Account deletion request.
Support must verify account ownership before an authorized operator starts the same deletion coordinator. There is no unauthenticated deletion endpoint, and support cannot bypass deletion checks.
What deletion covers
Deletion removes inventoried BonsAI-controlled account data, including account access, signed-in chats, settings, attachments, generated-image account records, usage records, and unredeemed share links.
Limited billing, transaction, tax, dispute, delivery, security, operational-log, deletion-evidence, provider, and backup records may remain under the approved retention and legal requirements. Separately initiated support email may remain in support mailboxes and email processors. A redeemed copy saved by another user remains that recipient's independently controlled data. Provider-held data whose durable handle is unavailable may not be selectively erasable by BonsAI Chat.
Deleted application data may remain in restricted backups until the approved backup horizon expires. A restore must reapply permanent deletion records before traffic; backups are not represented as instantly purged.
Subscriptions
- An active Stripe-origin web subscription is cancelled immediately as part of deletion. No automatic refund is issued.
- An Apple App Store or Google Play subscription is not cancelled by deleting BonsAI Chat. Manage it in the applicable store.
- Apple, Google, Stripe, and RevenueCat may retain purchase, transaction, and entitlement records under their own rules.
Anonymous browser data and future accounts
Deleting a signed-in account does not remove anonymous chats or staged settings stored only in a browser. Clear BonsAI Chat site data using your browser or device controls.
You may create a new account later. It receives a new Firebase UID and starts without the deleted account's BonsAI data. A still-valid Apple or Google purchase may be restored under store and RevenueCat rules; the deleted UID stays permanently denied.
